Introduction
For my POTA / SOTA activities I searched for a better 2m/70cm antenna for my ICOM ID-52+ compared to the stock antenna.
I've seen many operators using the Diamond RH770 telescopic antenna and I gave it a try:
Perceived performance
I made some receive test with the nearby 2m / 70cm repeaters - the antenna makes the difference between not workable and workable.
Technical performance
I hooked up the antenna to my VNA and held the VNA like the ID-52 near to my face.
The measured values for SWR & ReturnLoss are pretty good - but they vary much when changing the antenna position nearer or farer from nearby objects.
